Aim:
To understand safeguarding in the context of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants.
Outcome
Following this briefing, you will be able to:
- Understand safeguarding issues and concerns in the context of refugees migrants and asylum seekers
- Reflect on real case studies
- Take appropriate action when a safeguarding disclosure is made
- Reflect on safeguarding processes within your own organisations.
The training will also cover mental health, UASC, age disputes, modern slavery and exploitation including financial, accommodation and the risks around the location etc. and cultural / religious beliefs and awareness (or lack of) expectations within the UK.
